Trusting Him….

My walk with the Father has been a journey. I’ve looked back, walked away, and fell into the pleasures of this world.
While kayaking mine went sideways in the river current and I was trapped. The current took my shoes, jacket, and hat. Saving myself was all I could think. After several minutes, I was pulled out and covered in scrapes. I had to float the rest of the way without my sunblock which gave me 3rd-degree burns on my legs.
Roughly 9 months later around Passover, He told me to choose this day whom I will serve because the season had come when the son would return to the Father and the Father to the son. That day I chose Him and he took me back to my kayak accident and showed me, that I can’t save myself and that in life we have two roads. One that leads to Him and the other to destruction.
Psalm 28:7 says, Yahweh is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; yea, my heart greatly rejoices; and I will thank Him with my song. It is only because of His grace and mercy I’m here today, and every day I hold onto the promises and trust completely in Him. I’ve learned a lot about myself this past year, but my real growth has been in Him.
