Identity…

I’ve never given much thought to my identity. Being a people pleaser allowed the people around me to create my identity. I walked as they viewed and opened doors for rejection, abuse, brokenness, etc. To the world, I am known for weakness, shyness, guilty, defensive, a worrier, and so on, but then the Father spoke the truth while praying and said, my identity is in him.
I no longer belong to myself, but to Him, and through Him made new. The world has lost all control over me. Today I am owned by my Father. My identity is found in Him because He lives in me. 1 Corinthian 6:19-20 says, or do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from Elohim and you are not of yourselves? Being purchased with a price, we must glorify Elohim with both our body and spirit, which belongs to Elohim.
I am no longer weak, shy or guilty, but according to 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, He says His grace is sufficient for me, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I would rather boast in my weaknesses so that the power of Messiah may rest upon me and be pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in dire needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of the Messiah. For when I am physically weak, then I am spiritually strong.
The world loved me because I identified with it, but now, it hates me because I am no longer of it. John 15:19 says, If you were of the world, the world would love its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
I am who He says I am, no longer a slave to people or the world.
